Event on Azerbaijan-Italy relations was held at the University of Perugia
A series of events has been launched within the framework of the working visit of the delegation of the Center for Analysis of International Relations and the Baku Political Scientists Club to Italy. The visit is implemented with the support of the State Agency for Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The first event held within the framework of the visit was dedicated to the topic "Azerbaijan - Italy: new energy policy and bilateral relations". Chairman of the Executive Board of the Center Farid Shafiyev informed the conference participants about Azerbaijan's position in the international system, foreign policy priorities and the situation in the region.
Chairman of the Public Union "Baku Political Scientists Club" Zaur Mammadov spoke about the importance of the event and the realities of Italian-Azerbaijani relations.
Research scientists of the University of Perugia - Francesco Randazzo, Emilio Cassese, Valentina Chabert and others noted the growing influence of Azerbaijan, the host country of COP29, in the world and the positive development dynamics in Baku-Rome relations.
Javid Valiyev, head of the department of the Center for Analysis of International Relations, informed the participants that Azerbaijan is one of the leading states in Eurasia, located between East and West, North and South, and about the priorities of official Baku against the background of changing geo-economic processes. Shahmar Hajiyev, chief consultant of the Center, spoke about the essence of Azerbaijan's new energy strategy, which is gradually strengthening its regional position as an energy exporter
Within the framework of the project, various events are expected to take place in Italy in the coming days.
